Bus Assistant for Christchurch app for iPhone and iPad

Bus Assistant is an app for the Metro bus service in Christchurch that actually works.

It was designed to make using the bus in Christchurch as easy as possible, with great features such as:

• An easy to use Journey Planner, which helps find the fastest way between A and B
• A list of nearby stops, to help you quickly identify the nearest stops
• Real-time and offline bus arrival and departure information for each stop in the network
• A comprehensive network-wide route map, which also shows all the bus stops in the city
• Notifications for the Journey Planner, a real-time system which alerts you to actions you need to take to reach your destination

Information for each bus stop uses the GPS systems on the buses to estimate how long each bus will take to arrive at your stop, providing you with real-time updates.

The Journey Planner is designed to be easy to use and provide the quickest route to your destination, telling you everything you need to do while en route. This means people who are unfamiliar with the Metro network can find their way to their destination independently and with ease.

The app also works great with the new Bus Interchange, allowing you to easily get information about bus arrival and departure times at each platform.
